Day 6 ~ How to Grow in Trust and Belief ~ 21 Days of Manifesting Hope in Uncertain Times
Trust in built by moments in time and we trust those you have gained trust over moments. In the same way, we learn today that we need those moments to build and we slowly grow trust in ourselves. If you have no trust that a good outcome is possible, that defeats hope. You need trust for hope and your restrictive beliefs need to be negated, which our meditation practices do for us. The journey of hope is about inner trust.
“Love recognizes no barriers. It jumps hurdles, leaps fences, penetrates walls to arrive at its destination full of hope.” – Maya Angelou
MESSAGE OF THE DAY
Today in meditation we learn that hope is not effective if we do not believe in our self or have inner trust. Building a life of hope means we base it on a foundation of self awareness. This core self is where real trust must come from.

REFLECTIVE JOURNAL QUESTIONS
Trust develops only if your test it. This means, first of all, letting go of trust. Write down the names of one person who has done negative things to earn your distrust – it can be friend, family member, co-worker or boss. Write down 2 reasons why they earned your distrust.
As a follow up, offer acceptance to this person in your heart. Now journal about how you can begin to allow this person to earn your trust back. Eg. you could resist the urge to criticise, offer advice, correct, or remind them of the past. When you interact, do your best to translate a fresh start into actions. Let each encounter be nonjudgmental. Write about how it will feel to re-establish trust and what benefits both you and the other person will receive upon achieving this goal.
Beliefs tend to be self-fulfuling. They distort the lens through which we look at life. Write down one strong negative belief you hold eg, ‘all politicians lie’, ‘life is unfair’, nobody gives you anything for free’. Now think of a counter example of your negative belief. Describe a time a politician has told the truth, life did give someone what they deserve, or a gift was offered with no strings attached. In short, be on the lookout for the opposite of your negative belief in order to let it go.
Life is a collection of moments Love, Light + Peace, Amanda
